ACTHÉA

Acthéa is an international festival of universitarian theatre and street arts. This event goes on during a week in April and gathers people from Albi and around. Every evening, the public has the possibility to watch at the Albi theatre 2 plays interpreted with passion by talented students from all over Europe.
For the opening and the ending of this festival called “IN”, street arts performances and musicians are to be seen. This is called the “OFF” festival. Jugglers and musicians succeed each others, making everyone laugh and dance.
This meeting between theatre troops, artists and public is an amazing exchange of cultures and an example of solidarity and communication. The different languages spoken are far from being an obstacle to comprehension. It’s quite the opposite: gestures, mimicries, looks and emotions are an universal language.
